The December 10-11, 2016 weekend, FSA fencers competed in two events. Ben Adolphe traveled to compete in the New England open Senior Event and came back with a Gold Medal in Senior Mixed Epee. In our own backyard, FSA fencers competed in the Fairfax Challenge ROC. In Division 1A Men’s Epee Coach Zeyad Elashry won the gold medal and Danny Campbell finished with a top 8 medal. In the C & Under Mens Epee competition Doan Joseph earned a top 8 medal. In the C & Under division for Mens Foil Angel Daniel Calva won Gold for FSA. In the Division 1A Womens Epee Competion Hadley Husisian finished with a top 8 medal and won Gold in the C & Under Womens Eppe Event. Along side her in the C & Under Epee event was Maryanne D’Souza with a top 8 medal. In Divison 1A Foil and the C & Under, Nina Saadat finished with a top 8 medal in both events. In the Vet Combined Mens Epee Scott Richardson won silver, and George Desamours finished with a top 8 medal.
What a weekend of competition for our fencers! Overall, FSA fencers won 12 medals, 4 gold, 1 silver, and 7 top 8 medals.
